What does internal communication involve?
The term internal communication or employee communication refers to communication between members of a group, organisation or company. As an instrument of corporate communication, internal communication regulates communication between company management and the workforce. However, it not only describes the top-down dissemination of information in the form of top-down communication, but also bottom-up feedback and exchange on a horizontal level.
Internal communication is completely different from external communication. Different target groups, different communication channels, different content. However, internal and external communication always build on each other and are harmonised in order to ensure a uniform corporate image. Co-ordination of internal and external communication should be a matter of course.

Because I can look back on almost 20 years of experience in international companies – backed up by a Master’s degree in Corporate and Institutional Communication and an education as a PR specialist at the Swiss Public Relations Institute.

- Press Manager and Member of the Executive Board at Fiat Group Automobiles Switzerland SA, responsible for communications for all brands (Fiat, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, Abarth) and for the Group (Fiat Group).
- PR manager and media spokeswoman at IKEA Schweiz AG.
- Internal Communications Manager at IKEA Switzerland (over 3000 employees).
- Communication Operations Manager at IKEA Switzerland, responsible for the integration of internal and external communication.
